When should we choose Commerce?
Choose Commerce when you need a customer-facing store, from product discovery and carts to checkout, orders and returns. Add Inventory for stock across warehouses, and Procurement for supplier buying with formal requests, budgets and approvals. Each app can run on its own.
What makes Commerce AI-native?
AI is embedded across shopping, administration, product discovery and operational workflows. Commerce is AI-native commerce with a reliable non-AI transactional core: checkout, payments and order processing do not depend on AI.
Does AI autonomously run the entire store?
No. The admin assistant drafts changes that require signed human approval. Operational agents work within policy limits, with inbox review and undo support for supported actions. Your team stays responsible for running the store.
Do we pay a fee per order?
No. You run the store and pay your payment provider directly. There's no Makeships cut of your sales.
Can we change the look without a developer?
Yes. Store settings cover logos, colours, fonts, corner radius and light or dark mode, and pages are built from blocks. Changes show on the next page load without a redeploy.
